1. I intend to change the air strut bracket to include nut plates.  A simple
change that will make life easier in the future.

2. I also will adjust the nose gear hydraulic strut such that it exerts no
force on the overcenter when fully extended (i.e. bolt will drop in).
3. As for the mains, I was told by others that I should set the extended
strut just a hair longer than the overcenter - to keep positive pressure on
the overcenter link.

As for cotter pins and castle nuts - yes.
