How would one apply this hinge to the inside top and bottom cowling and at the same
time, prevent adhesive from migrating into and between the two hinge halves and
bonding both together?

I think it would be very helpful if one of you could describe the method for attaching
aluminum and/or carb hinges to the cowling halves and the cowling rear sides and top,
to the fuselage. Of course, all of this presumably would be done with
engine/prop/spinner in place and with little or no opportunity to put either your
hands or eyeballs in there to see or do something. What am I missing here?
