Posted for Walt Dodson, regarding where to get TCP.
If your local FBO doesn't carry it, I know it's available from Aircraft
Spruce and, I'm sure, from other mail-order outfits as well.
As to the amount, the first time you buy a container of the stuff, you need
to buy the whole kit, which includes a calibrated syringe with markings for
100LL and 80 Oct. (Avgas). The calibrations show the amount to add per
gallon right on the device. The syringe also is made to fit a plastic gizmo
in the opening of the container that allows you to suck the TCP up without
spilling any. After the first supply is used up, you only need to buy the
TCP as the syringe is reuseable (probably for years).
As to the actual amount used, it looks to me like it's about 1 - 2 ounces
per 10 gallons. Not actually sure about that as I always use the calibrated
syringe and haven't bothered to check what the markings represent on the
thing.
Hope this helps,
Dan Schaefer
