It has been interesting reading the two postings from others on Alt engines
for the L-4P and I hope others will write.

I am always concerned for anyone buying an engine just by the claims
someone is making.  I again warn buyers of engines to only buy a proven
engine that is up and flying with hours on it and then you can go for a
ride yourself and then feel all warm and fuzzy about it.  If you are an
experienced mechanic and you want a challenge and can puts around for
months getting things right, go ahead.  But I will advise everyone to be
careful and DO NOT put your money into something that sound good on paper.
Everyone is a great salesman on their product and they need your money to
continue.  Just because someone can talk like a good engineer and they have
all the answers and all the latest goodies doesn't mean it will fly like
you want it to.  American Eagle Engines sounds great  but wait and see
before you buy.  If it is flying and works like the builders says it would
then if you think it fits your application buy it.

Of course some won't like what I say but this is only my opinion and others
smarter than me may be more correct.

Thanks

Dan Schott
