John, I think Dan's concern is the time it takes to remove/install the cowl
for routine inspections and I share this concern.  I have absolutely zero
experience with the hinge type fastener, but from what I've heard and read,
it takes somewhat longer to remove and reinstall the cowl and thus
discourages cowl removal for the frequent looksee inside.  I agree with you
that it looks great compared to other types of fasteners.  I'm wrestling
with the same issue as Dan.  Do I want it to look great at the expense of
easy access.  If you could address this issue with respect to the Carbinge I
woul very much appreciate it.
