The Champion rep was speaking. Lyc. came to them for help when they realized the problem. Champion came up with the REM38BY plug. If you use them you must clean the klinkers out at 100 hrs, if you make it. If you do not use them you won't make 25 hrs. Lycoming admits they have a funky intake system which precipitates lead onto the plugs. 100 LL only makes it worse. Walt Dodson ps: fortunately, the lead deposits form at start-up and shut down... mostly. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html LML Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
