I ordered Jim Rahm's engine at Oshkosh 1997. While I have to say that I
still don't have the engine, it is also true that he never promised me a
specific delivery date. I do have the engine mount (which is the most
important piece for me at this moment) and when
Jim finally promised me a delivery date, it arrived very close to that date.
What I'm trying to say is that in my experience there were delays but there
weren't any empty promises. From everything I have seen about the engine it
sure beats the TSIO-550 by a huge margin. Considering a project like this I
am surprised that there weren't any more delays. It's a terrific engine -
I'll keep you up to date on the progress.
