Hello guys

After about 2 years I had to sell my Lancair 4p, the plane was absolutely great, sexy, fun, fast and I had spent sooooo much money into it to make it mine like the BRS parachute, AmSafe seat belts, High-G seats, Reversible prop, new avionics etch etc.

So no secret I lost a lot of money selling it, but sometimes you have to cut your losses and move on.

I had questions in the past about the reversible propeller from MT, this was installed by Matthew Collier from Fibercraft in Spruce Creek. This I have to say was one of the best assets of this plane. It was really fantastic using this feature, even when it was not always needed I still used it just to make sure it was working properly. The damage to the prop was always very overblown as it was totally not bad at all. And it really cut a 1000ft from your landing , which is really great on shorter runways (yes you could land on a 2200ft runway (sea level) without a big sweat.

So if you have the cash and like this extra security…. do it, it is really worth it. Besides the other benefits of way less vibration, lighter weight, better climb and slightly better cruise compared to the 3 bladed prop I had before. (I had the prop for about 80 hours before I sold the plane)

Ronald Stevens , formerly n45HL, >400 hours in 4p, now grounded, waiting on a flying car or flying motorcycle 😊
