That gave me indicated airspeeds too low. I then switched to an enormous chromed heated pitot/static at the same location -- that gave me IAS's too high and a twitchy altimeter. I finally used the heated pitot, but changed the static to the locations recommended by Lancair on both sides of the airplane. IAS is now accurate and the altimeter is accurate and steady.
