I should have deduced the same from John Deakin's AvWeb column "Those Fire Breathing Turbos (Part 4)", where he discusses a TCM hot start procedure utilizing the boost pump for 1 minute with the mixture control in idle cutoff. This procedure sends cool fuel thru the engine pump and back to the tank via the pump's "vapor vent line", thus cooling the heat soaked pump and reducing premature vaporization of the fuel during start. That return line is, of course, in the system before the throttle body and divider. Duh! I could have checked all this out on my TCM powered Skymaster, but I sold it two weeks ago -- must be separation anxiety leading to mental incapacity (at least thats' what they tell me at the institution).
