I concur with Colyn's comments. But ideas, initiative, and actions come from individuals.
My frustration has been that my and other first attempts to get some community cooperation and action on this issue resulted in a massive......
Silence.
Brought to mind the expression "Denial is not a river in Egypt."
Hopefully this second attempt will work better. Apparently it already is.
I now understand that Lancair Marketing has asked for input to pass along to engineering for comment, and John Smith who is leading the latch effort, at least here in Oz, has made contact with a letter of questions to be reviewed by Lancair engineering. With answers, John's team can finalize some design options and them present in this forum for consideration and comment. I direct you who are concerned and want to learn to review his interesting quantitative analysis presented in this forum some weeks ago. It has also gone to Lancair as part of the information he has supplied.
Progress.... At last. Hopefully positive forward motion can recommence on this issue. With a bit of momentum and energy addition from the group and Lancair, perhaps we can move forward to results and eliminate some potential accidents.
