HI THERE

as i read accident reports, i try to implement improvements in my behavior or aircraft to avoid the accident(s) trap

1. EXPERIENCED PILOT
      A. aircraft was being ferried and ran out of fuel (14 gallons were unavailable in tanks)
      B. pilots head hit the panel (shoulder belt off to reach fuel selector)

   MY SOLUTIONS
1.  on my first long cross country, we ran each tank dry on separate legs and then filled the tanks to the brim
to find out how much fuel the engine could receive from the tanks. we sat on the opposite wing tip to get every bit of fuel into the tanks
(draining the tanks will not tell you how much the tanks will deliver to the engine)

MY ANSWER WAS 109 GALLONS-- aircraft marked 110 gallons
i use 106 gallons as my "empty"

2. installed inertia reel shoulder belts

STALL SPIN ACCIDENTS

1. i installed a AOA to aid in avoiding the slow and too slow

2. i monitor speed in the pattern like a hawk,
             NEVER NEVER BELOW 120 KNOTS
        turns in the pattern
i monitor the Turn and Bank to make sure the ball is centered

these are ones that come to mind immediately: there are more
