HI THERE
i have been told that there is an owner on the west coast that flies at 180 knots and has a burn of about 9 gph
which would give you 20kt/gal
in both a IV and a IVP i have seen 235 knots at 17.5gph @ 6,500 feet (rich of peak)
about 222 knots at 14.5 gph which would give you 15.3 kt/gal
at 17,500 245 kt @ 14.5 gph which would give you 16.9 kt/gal
if you pursuit of N301H doesnt work out, i would sell my IV 462WW for $135,000

> I've been looking at N301H (IV) as a way to get a bit more space than my 360. 301H is listed on Controller and based in palm beach. Does anyone have any gouge on this aircraft?

The BSFC of the TSIO-550 is only 5-10% worse than the IO-550 according to Conti. The cruise speeds ive seen quoted are far from the published L/D MAX ( max range) speed of the IV. Can anyone comment on operating at a more efficient 150-160kias?
