Sometimes I'm able to "bump" it around with the starter switch and make it grab just enough for startup. I discussed this situation with Charlie Kohler and he had been through it before, citing engine kick-back as a possible reason to make this happen and somehow damage the adapter causing the spring not to grab. I removed the starter and adapter today and found that everything looks normal, with spring intact, not broken and the action seems ok. Charlie, do you, or does anyone else(Mike DeHate) have any more thoughts on this before I replace this adapter assembly or try ordering a new one?????????
