My Vision Micro system reboots when it sees the voltage drop of the
starter.  I tried installing a diode and a big capacitor but it did not
prevent the problem.  Has anyone tried a small 12v battery with a diode?
This might work but would require an extra switch to shut the system off.

My flow transducer is mounted on the firewall between the mechanical fuel
pump and the fuel controller.  It has worked well for 200 hours, but I have
found that the long term average fuel use measured by the VMS system is
about 6% higher than actual fuel used.
