I used Limousine film (now maybe known as Gila or glare control film) from Walmart, but I also see it on the Home Depot website, too.  It seemed like it was urethane, kinda of sticky, but no actual adhesive. Then it was available in a couple of different shades and color.   I installed it as strips about 3" wide (because the canopy is a double curve)  on the canopy of our Lancair 360 and it made a substantial difference to the hothouse effect that the canopy caused.  I installed it as an essentially permanent item and it never seemed to have any inclination to let go anywhere.  My wife and I were very happy with the film as a sun control solution.

In addition to my Kroger sun shade in the cockpit, I'm looking for a sun screen solution when the sun is low enough in the sky to render
the Kroger useless. I've been to all the local auto parts stores with no luck.
Any suggestions out there for a sun shade that will adhere to the canopy via static cling, etc. ??
