For those who consider this level of surveillance to be acceptable and even desirable, here is an AOPA video that prepares you for the next phase of inquiry: the pilot's Stop and Frisk without warrant or probable cause.

Like with all intrusions into your personal life, once you surrender your rights or grant consent to a search without probable cause, you are no longer permitted to object to the search. Within our new Nation of Regulations (no longer a Nation of Laws), it is highly likely that you are violating some sort of law or regulation, one that could be held against you at any time.
Consequently, any consent to search your privacy will no doubt yield a violation of some sort, depending on the capricious degree of interest the authorities have with you.
Some of us are preparing a written notice, based on Law, that indicates and instructs the police or an authority to allow an individual to pass without delay or detention, unless Probable Cause is articulated and detention permitted by Law. Why printed? Because anything you say can AND will be used against you.
If you are willing to surrender your privacy and your rights, please don't complain when you are victimized by inconvenient detention or distraction from authorities empowered by your consent and apathy.
