Hi Mike,
Certainly the aileron pressure box and the elevator push / pull bulkhead fittings are significantly less likely to fail. If you install the push/ pull fitting, you will need to remove the compensator.
Depending on your build methods, there may be an additional benefit in slightly less weight.
