To the IVs: Someone should post some pictures after talking to Trutrak about the latest design, arm
configuration and shear screw recommendation so you IVs are all on the same page. In the Legacy, the shear screws
were changed from brass to nylon, the arm was redesigned, there was an amendment to retain the screw that holds the arm (from
backing out). I'm guessing the IVs have similar issues plus torque. I posted in 2012 the roll hunting in my Legacy
turned out to be three sheared brass "shear" screws. Trutrak was going to upgrade my servo for $200 (not for torque) to address
the newer changes.
Using a shear fastener that cannot be sheared could leave you in a roll or bank that cannot be
recovered from if the actuator locks up. All the other components are hard and virtually unbreakable in the Legacy so that's
the only weak link in the roll control system if the actuator seizes. You will be screwed. The nylon fasteners
I got at Lowes, or trutrak will send some to you. Talk to Trutrak before using metal screws in those
locations.
