One more comment. I found that if the aileron trim were off even a small amount I would get a wing oscillation with the AP. Since the TT AP does not control the roll trim (like it does the elevator and yaw damper trim) it just seems to hunt around a mis-trimmed aileron.

I also replaced my standard roll servo with the hi torque model because it would slip on steep turns (I have a Sorcerer and an ES-P). The hi torque has worked great since the swap. No need to upgrade the elevator servo, as the standard one has had no issues.
Do you have a yaw damper? I found that the yaw damper can cause rapid lateral hunting of the roll servo if it is not set right or doesn’t have the latest SW from TT.
When you get the new hi T roll servo, you will find it requires a much higher roll gain. I find 20 a good setting, although I still get some lazy minute long light rolling of the wings. However, if I set it much higher, I get really jerky turns when using EXT HDG mode (from a G900).

Subject: AFS Pilot
Hi Todd,
I have the TruTrak GX Pilot (the one that works with the Garmin G3X efis). If its anything like mine, I have been having some issues with the AP not being strong enough to take it out of even a medium turn. I have adjusted both the LAT activity and the Lat Micro Activity. It was also "hunting" a bit (but a fast hunt... like left,right,left,right.... not the lazy hunting type). Finally the other day the sheer pin broke.
We are taking the servo out of the plane tomorrow hopefully. Sending it back to TruTrak with $750. They'll rebuild it into a high torque servo (16:1 rather than 4:1 ratio). Also, it has a slip clutch rather than the sheer pin, which is a good thing. I'm hoping this will solve my issues. TruTrak said that the high torque servo gives 20lbs more torque (if I'm repeating that properly).
My pitch servo is just the standard one and it seems to be operating fine.
