You can immediately see all of the steam rising out of the fille= r neck. I hook the cap on the latch on my oil door, which keeps it from dr= opping back in place. I replace the oil cap when I am ready to drive away = from the plane. This has eliminated all of the grey gooey buildup inside t= he filler neck. Try it. You will be surprised at the results. And the sh= ipping is free! BTW, if you are prone to forgetting things (like putting the oil cap back o= n, which is important so as to not let moisture into the engine after cool = down), you might want to hang something big and bright from the filler cap = to remind you - or just put the car keys on the cowling next to the filler = door.
