I unfortunately did not have icing conditions but did fly through rain. It wore off abut the stagnation point and back about1.5 inches each way, leaving exposed paint. Doubt it would have prevented ice. I am recoating it to see if it helps with bug cleaning. It does leave a milky white glaze, moderately noticeable.
