Stop at half moon bay (HAF) for lunch. It's 40 minutes north of Monterey if you take your time. The little port village is in walking distance from the tie downs. great restaurants and artisan craft stores. You're under SFO class B but it feels like you're a world away.
Sonoma (STS) or Healdsburg (HES) will put you in the heart of wine country. I know STS offers a courtesy car.

Southern California also offers many possibilities as well. John Wayne Airport (KSNA) is centrally located between Santa Barbara and San Diego with couple of Legacy’s on the field.
Don’t hesitate to call me if you plan on coming to the area and have any questions or I may be of any help.

Monterey and Carmel should be a must with an excursion to San Francisco Bay Area.
Lots to see and do. You will love the aquarium in Monterey and the town Carmel-by-the-Sea.
Monterey is a class C airport with minimal traffic.
If you decide to come give me a call?
Hi All,
We're planning a flight across the country this April with the hopes of making it to California. Having never been there before, I'm looking for suggestions on where to go... what are the tourist draws... those places where we can stop for 3 days or so and
have fun exploring.
Any suggestions?
