I purchased an ordinary life policy decades ago from NYLI that had a two year flying exclusion. This was while I was still in college. Worked out well for me. Not sure it's still available.

Unless you work for the federal government, you’ll find that nearly ALL life insurance policies have aviation related exclusions for payout. We decided to it was time to get more life insurance.... our decision was term insurance to make sure the kids were taken care of should something happen to me (the current breadwinner) during their school years (up through college). I am a 40 year old male in excellent health. The Lancair part of the question is that during the questioning by the insuring company, they were very interested/disappointed to hear I flew an "experimental" airplane. I was wondering if anyone on the list had experience or advice on life insurance for pilots who enjoy our same hobby. MA-5 Marquart Charger Owner
