I purchased an ordinary life policy decades ago from NYLI that had a two year flying exclusion. This was while I was still in college. Worked out well for me. Not sure it's still available.

Subject: [LML] Life Insurance Question My wife is four months away from having our second baby. We decided to it was time to get more life insurance.... our decision was term insurance to make sure the kids were taken care of should something happen to me (the current breadwinner) during their school years (up through college). I am a 40 year old male in excellent health. The Lancair part of the question is that during the questioning by the insuring company, they were very interested/disappointed to hear I flew an "experimental" airplane.
