I also cut out openings in the two covers that cover the rear spar bolts. I installed nutplates and then made covers with gaskets so that I could remove the wings without surgery. At Las Vegas last month, I removed the wings, start to finish including fuel dump, in slightly less that 4 hours. ( I hope you have better luck than I did) Regards, Bill H.
