Lancair ES N144GP (kit # 217) departed this earth today in compliance with Bernoulli's' principle.  She was under the capable control of test pilot and professional aircraft builder Mark Meyers from Tulsa OK.  What a pilot!  And a nice guy to boot.

4 years and about 4 months, 2500+  hands on hours.  THANKS to the many that helped along the way.  Thanks to Lance Neibauer and Martin Holman for a great design and an awesome aircraft.  Thanks to Lancair for a very good kit.

Couple of squawks to take care of before the next flight, my first flight....

Inspection, .53 hour flight orbiting KCXY, debrief and a nice lunch at Nicks.

Mark said he had her at 18" MP and 2300 RPM, doing 140 KIAS around the circuit at 2500'.  Trim felt good and handled hands off.  All temps good.

Have an issue with Primary ALT maybe not charging.  Will need to review and test to make sure the Vertical Power system was set up and operating correctly, or to see whether there is a charging circuit problem.

Little bit of brake fluid dripping at end of run...res. still full..maybe expansion on this 80+ spring day?  Had topped it off yesterday...still at top now.  No other visible leaks.  Mark said brakes may have been a bit soft to start, better at end.  Linings had not been conditioned, and calipers have sat around for 4 years prior to adding fluid several months ago.  Will look at further.

Good to be us……..
