Sorry for being neither a 235 owner or Vern, but I imagine that the
crossover weldment didn't undergo much change from the 235 to the 320...
the one in my 320 kit has that same ~40 degree forward slant from the
control stick vertical plane. I'm quite sure that when you get through all
the geometry of that portion of the control system and given that down
elevator travel is only half that required of the up elevator, that forward
lean has everything to do with amount of elevator movement both up and down
relative to the amount of travel required at the top of the stick to
provide the desired deflections. Keep on building... <G>
