A IV-P cabin door will tear off, leaving the hinges attached to the top of the fuselage. It will go all the way over the top of the aircraft and strike the right flap, removing a pie shaped piece from the inboard end.
If you have static wicks on the elevator, the outboard ones will break. The outboard elevator pivot bearings will also have a bit of play and need replacing.
The good news is, if you have a fast build door, the replacement will almost bolt right on!

Subject: [LML] Door
Hi List
Has anyone had the fun of forgetting to properly latch the door and have it pop open on a IV/IVP/Propjet?
I haven't done so to date, but am curious if anyone knows the result.
I have had door open on Bonanza prior & was really no big deal other than noisy. Wondering if same on Lancair.
