Dick is referring to Oildyne's propensity to install the shuttle
valve (spoolpiece) backwards when they rebuild the pump.
During 1993(?), Jim Frantz reported in the LNN that Oildyne managed
to do that to his pump. I thought "they'll never do that again". Well, a
year later they did it again...to my pump! When they returned to me after a
rebuild, which included installation of the backpressure relief circuit, it
functioned worse than ever. They told me to return it again and later
admitted they had installed the shuttle valve backwards.
