Hey Walt - you've read it wrong. I have the utmost respect for the harried AP and think, for the most, they do an exemplary job in a thankless profession. If you read my post again, you'll note that I was bitching about the Lycoming factory quality - not the local wrench - who did a great job of correcting the screw-ups done at the factory. If it hadn't been for Bob Qualmsey (an AP at the Torrance,CA airport) finding and fixing the problems in my "Factory Remanufactured" O-235, I'd probably be, at best, without an airplane and at worst, dead, now.
