Getting the cost of parts would be enough for most builders. Almost no one I
know would think they could get the value of their labor too. May be wrong.
I wonder how many 320 types and IV types there are just going to waste.

if your friend wants to minimize cost, he should buy one of the many that
are up and flying I would think.
Most of the airplanes out there are priced less than the parts. I don't
know how you would get parts + labor to be cheaper than "done".
