I've been flying my Legacy with the GRT EFIS and like it a lot. I have dual displays with the HX display on top and the HS display on the bottom. (see attached picture). I have about 500 hours on the plane and avionics. When I first began flying the plane in 2007, I had installed the older GRT WS displays but upgraded to the newer HX / HS as shown in the attached picture. I have not had the electrical problems posted by Tony Mordain earlier. However, I can agree with Tony, using the EFIS with GPS and autopilot is challenging. I spent about 6 months flying in VFR making lots of instrument approaches and watching the system perform. The exact sequence of button strokes is essential. Also, the TruTrak autopilots have a limitation on maximum bank angle that can cause you to overshoot a localizer if you get turned in close to the airport. Of course, slowing down helps a lot. On most trips, I file IFR flight plans and let the GRT EFIS system fly the plane. Tony's earlier LML post showing a few pictures with the "flight director" turned on in the PFD highlights a very useful function GRT added recently. On Saturday, I used the flight director function and excellent "synthetic vision" showing the runway to make an instrument departure in very low IFR conditions through a thin layer of fog.
I do not have the GRT engine monitor system but many others do.
Please call me if you have other specific questions.

Subject: [LML] GRT pfd's
I know this is mostly a Chelton crowd but is anyone flying a GRT pfd in their lancair?
Do you have an Hx?
Do you use it IFR?
How has the reliability been?
If you are wondering why I am not asking about a G3x or a lot of other options it's because I already have most of the GRT system installed.
thanks,
Colyn
