But I would build the table in the two 8 foot sections which are joined in place during construction. Later, when you rearrange your shop (likely) you can split the table into two by taking off a couple of small joining plates. That's what I did, and I am very happy with the results. BTW, where do you plan to get 16 ft ply or particle board?
