A couple of years ago, I checked my main gear weldment with a straight edge
across the top.  I guess, this is what you did.  I got similar results.  I
was concerned about it until I checked some weldments on kits that were
never installed or flown.  I saw about the same amount of bulge at the weld
junctions on all that I checked.  I concluded that the weldments were not
bent from landing loads but merely deformed from the welding process.  Do
you agree?
