Upper side more, lower side = less. (about 5mm) Flying since 70 hours now but never felt a difference. I did not want to spread much filler on the skin, as you add a lot of = needless weight. You also have to add a lot of counterbalance weights.... So save weight = where you can!! The leading edge of the elevaters should be flush with the horizontal = skin, so the airflow stays laminar when it=20 goes over the gap. Same with ailerons: keep the skins flush or thicker.
