Like Paul, I did not build my Legacy (#254). The hydraulic pump is behind
the co-pilot's seat, outboard. Battery #2 (a small one, 17mAh) is behind the
co-pilot's seat, inboard. Battery #1 (larger, 26 mAh) is behind the pilot's
seat. I have no problems with the CG.

In 14 months (and two annuals) of owning and operating the aircraft I've
never had to do anything to the hydraulic pump other than check the fluid
level and inspect for leaks (there were none). The batteries get checked at
each annual. I replaced them at the latest annual.

Unlike Paul I do not have a removeable rear window so I've become very
familiar with my baggage compartment.

While I did not build 186, the pump is behind the bulkhead and has never
been a problem to date.  I find I need to access the batteries behind that
seat more frequently than the pump so I like the setup.  My rear windows
also come out so that is a factor.
