Thanks guys.  The conclusions I have so far for an ice-equipped IVP say I
could expect at least 240 KTAS in the low 20s on ~18 gph.  That's a lot
faster than a Mooney Rocket (assume 215 KTAS best at cabin alts below
18,000'), faster than the P-Barons (book max 241 KTAS) and in practice
faster than Aerostar Super 700s.

Turbine model might be going 290+ on 30 gph in the high 20s, but I expect
efficiency drops off fast as you descend.

To Carl's point about turbocharging not always being good, I think I need
it.  MEAs are 13k, rocks not far below, typically the whole route is
ice-free in the low 20s.  I'd want to maintain a strong TAS and climb rate
through the 20s for this trip.

To Barry's questions, I'm 5'11/175 and my wife's weight is secret, but
small.  We'd fit.  Would need to do a "split the fuel and buy sandwiches"
demo to assess ride quality.  I'm in Oklahoma City, often to Phoenix,
Houston, etc and would like to meet any of you folks who'd be willing to
show me the plane and perhaps do a demo flight.
