Another note from an un-geezer.  At 81 I'm enjoying our L235/320... and also planning some x-cs this year, perhaps from IL to CA and around.  The age numbers refer to Earth orbits, not body and mind condition.
An old Squadron buddy (maybe 2 years less than me) I visited with at OSH last year.  He came in the Piper SIX he bought new, and has just finished (himself) installing his third engine in it... and invited me out to Seal Beach, promised me a parking spot at Long Beach, if I would "come out in your little 'speedball' to visit.  Then he took his solo leisurely time returning to CA with the help of his Wx and GPS... no problem.  We're goin'.

My 75 year old hangar mate buddy is just finishing hanging a fresh engine on his RV-6.  Our airport mob has members that are 72 and 80 and still flying (very well I might add).  I turn 65 this year and I just finished hanging a fresh engine on  my Lancair IV which I  expect to fly until it runs out of time.

Definitely the wrong reason to quit flying.
