Speed trials were done at 8500 ft over Central Oregon. I flew a 360, 90, 180 and 270 heading for long enough for the GPS ground speed to stabilize. Don't remember OAT. I flew it "balls to the wall" at 2700 RPM, full throttle, ram air open, and about 100 deg ROP (max power mixture) No de-ice 247 ktas Wing and h-stab de-ice 244 ktas Wing, h-stab and prop 241 ktas So in essence, at top speed airframe de-ice costs you 3 knots and prop de-ice another 3 knots for a total of 6 knots. At lower speeds it probably cost less. D. Is there any good data on any speed reduction that this equipment causes? Any of the three have a supercharger from FAT or Aero Superchargers? thanks, -pierre -- For archives and unsub http://mail.lancaironline.net:81/lists/lml/List.html
