That is what I did. The high gloss surface has not posed any glare issues for me. In fact, I never even thought of it being a potential reflection issue until your post. The biggest night time glare I have found is a reflection of lighted instruments that are in the panel reflecting off the clear canopy itself. The glare shield needs to have sufficient overhang to prevent this.

For those who've bIased the trail ahead of me, I've been planning to paint my canopy interior surface the same high gloss white as the rest of the exterior. Since this is such a small surface area, would this be an OK plan or would a satin or flat finish be preferable?
