I have been doing some measurements both static and
in flight on a Lancair 320 and found minimal stick movement. The top of the
stick moves only about 1" from 195mph / -7º flap and 80mph / 25º flap with 0º
flap cruise stick position in between. The elevator pushrod moves just under
1/4" for the same flight range. This observation is what caused me to ask this
question. I have not done any stick force measurements as yet.

Wolfgang,
I thought about installing a bungee cord.
My problem is following. Having a IO390 I'm very nose heavy and I
built my elevator trimtab 4" shorter. So coming in for landing below
95kts
the trim is not enough. So I need to pull with 0.5kg to keep the
plane in a stable descent.
I have 2 possibilities to fix the problem: I can either install the
original spring trim or I install the bungee at the flap
actuator.
Maybe the spring trim is the better solution because when you change
flap position while landing you also have to adjust the trim tab on
elev.
As I have a throttle quadrant and a glove box there is nearly no room
for the spring trim. Maybe someone has a picture from a spring trim
installed
different from the plans of Lancair.

Has anyone thought about a spring coupling
from the flap actuator th the elevator push rod
