I haven't purchased a nicopress tool yet and have poured over this release mechanism on and off for some time. The new seat tracks do not have the handle extension shown in the figure on the right track. A pully came to mind but sounded too difficult and would require a weld. My hot fix is as follows... Using small aluminum 90* angle I extended the handle using the holes provided on the plate. This allows a "pull" on the opposite side (left) release. Connect the extension to the left release plate with a 9 1/2" X 5/8" X .070 piece of aluminum (a strap) and bolt the whole mess together. I used HiLoc rivets and MS 21042 "jap" nuts but AN 3's will do. Works good--last a long time. Drill the holes close tolerance and de-burr, tighten the nuts and back off just a little to allow things to pivot. I got fancy and etched and alodyned my aluminum parts. Be sure to lube everything, tracks included, on assembly. The silver paint comes off with lube but is no big deal as it can't be seen. I did not like the "NOTE: Having two lockable tracks on each seat is not necessary" statement. Having both tracks lock is surely a good thing. The hole geometry works out well and both sides release at the same time.
