I am glad to see your appreciation for Alaska flying and Don Sheldon. For
years I owned a Piper PA12 that had been reengined with an O320 out of one
of Don's cubs. He was also an IA and signed off all the work he had done on
the engine. Since he was a legend in Alaska there were many folks who would
have liked a copy of those log books. That engine took me all over Alaska
and between Alaska and the lower 48. I have some pics of the old red barn
that he called home base in Talkeetna if you are interested.
