In regards to the vernier they actually prohibit them. I've queried why = and got nothing more than, "we've had trouble with them in the past". I = suspect the button vs twist issue may have caused some challenge. Just so you are aware they would prefer traditional slider throttle with adjustable friction lock. Personally, I found myself at idle too many = times during the takeoff roll to enjoy that particular style of throttle. For = me it's button LOCK with adjustable vernier. Good Luck. Tom, I don't fly formation, but I do have a throttle quadrant in my 360. =20 It's hard to compare to something you don't have, but, although I like = the quadrant for looks and panel space it saves, I don't think it will allow = any finer controls than a standard push type. I usually have the tension adjusted such that it actually doesn't move = all that easily to keep the throttle from backing off when I am crusing. If = I had my choice I would go with a vernier style throttle like Larry = suggests. I had one in a Mooney and was very pleased with it.
