In 2006 I sent the LML counts of Lancairs as obtained from the FAA
database:
"Model" was searched using the text shown below. The number of planes
registered may include those not yet flying. Today I did a similar search
to see the changes (Difference, negative means a decrease).

I have no idea what "sub-model" was used for the missing Lancairs.
Note that the search is more limiting by the more specific text used (thus
categories such as sub-sub-model).
Note the greatest increase over these 3 years was in the "Legacy"
category. Note the decrease in certain IV categories. In any event,
Lancairs generally increased by 10% while Legacy aircraft increased by 36%
(at a rate of 1 per month). But remember that 200-300 series Lancairs
still comprise 42% of the Lancair Fleet and 2-seaters are 56% of the
fleet.
