I also looked at NTSB Lancair accident reports for the same period (11/2006 to 11/2009).  An accident may have occurred before these dates where the final report was filed during the 3 year period.  The N-number may not have been de-registered even though the plane was destroyed and may be included in the registration counts.

 

Lancair accident total = 35, fatal accidents = 19

 

Included in the total:

 

Legacy = 8, fatal = 6

 

IVP = 9, fatal =6

 

Turbine = 1, fatal = 1.
