This from Ted Stanley and the FAA.  I find it interesting that they finally recommend the installation of an AOA instrument, something we've been preaching since the early days of the Lancair Network News, right up through the present.  Even more ironic is the fact that Jim Frantz worked for years at getting his simpler but very capable AOA Sport certified and the FAA managed to throw roadblock after roadblock in his path, and, to the best of my knowledge, he (or the new owner of that business) still hasn't managed to get it certified.  In the meantime the FAA is allowing night-time aerobatic displays with fireworks coming out of the wings..... aii-yii-yii.......  go figure!
