I don't remember it being advertised as cheaper. Instead it is described as
lighter, stronger, and more flexible. Nylaflow is cheaper.

In an interesting coincidence, I installed my DH400 brake lines today.
I ordered them almost two years ago, but just now got around to it.
For the 235, I had them made 137 inches long. One disadvantage I found
was that the pre-installed -4 flare nuts require about a 3/4" hole in each
bulkhead they pass through. The old Nylaflow lines could be easily replaced
by dragging the new line with the old through 1/4" holes, then swaging the
ends. I had to pull the aft curved portion of the seat pans out to modify the
holes through the root ribs. ... That's why I waited 2 years. Didn't want to
do that.
