Tough, Reliable and well designed. They are used a lot in military applications. They aren't cheap and if you decide to use one, hook it up to the loads it will support for some time to evaluate your cooling requirements. They can run very warm with no problem. =20 Make sure you check the data sheet and other Vicor reference material concerning heat dissipation (and other requirements) before finalizing your installation. --Kevin L2K-291...almost there -----Original Message----- From: Lancair Mailing List [mailto:lml@lancaironline.net] On Behalf Of Colyn Case at earthlink Sent: 2009-04-21 05:35 To: lml@lancaironline.net Subject: [LML] Re: S-tec autopilot Matt, ....here's another option for 14v -> 28v conversion http://cdn.vicorpower.com/documents/datasheets/ds_megamod.pdf Colyn ----- Original Message -----=20 From: "Matt Hapgood" To: Sent: Sunday, April 12, 2009 7:27 PM Subject: [LML] S-tec autopilot >I currently have an S-tec system 30 ALT in my 360.
