Is this
a first-time inspection since you've owned the plane?
Is this something AIG
wants annually?
Does any curerent owner/operator consider this "Factory
assistance"
Lancair should offer this free-of-charge in the hopes
prospective buyers
won't opt or a RV-10 or a production
plane

Subject: [LML] Lancair
inspection charges
I just received a quote from Tim Wilson at Lancair
for the aircraft
inspections required by AIG prior
to renewing my
insurance policy for the Lancair IV. $2300 for the
inspection that
should take 1 and 1/2 days.
This does not qualify as a conditional
inspection. Any travel expenses
are additional.
Does $191 hour
shop rate seem excessive?
They can not do my inspection until May, after my
present policy
expires.
